Music for the Masses

There they are, 19 songs I deem somewhat worthy of putting online, ranging from horrible, 1-track-recordings from the highschool years to the last bunch of “professional” recordings at Studio195 (well worth the trip). Thanks to all the musicians on these recordings, and here’s to hoping for more to come!

The songs ARE downloadable, which you might as well do to save me some bandwidth issues, but if you just want to sample the goods, clicking the blue “play” thingy next to the songs should work as well. Enjoy!

  1. Harmony Lane – 2008 – (give me back my) Hangover Pop music! Niki sings all the Harmony Lane songs, by the way
  2. Harmony Lane – 2008 – Life on a Polaroid An attempt at combining emo with epic outros. One day I’ll stick a twin guitar lead in there, just watch me!
  3. Harmony Lane – 2008 – Fractal Kinda jazzy but still likeable song. As if jazzy songs aren’t likeable…
  4. Harmony Lane – 2008 – Roses Man that’s one catchy riff, innit?
  5. Stuntman Mike Sessions – 2008 – I’m on a Roll Demo version of what I think is quite a good attempt at songwriting. Yvo’s on vocals, samples are from the movie Office Space by the way.
  6. Stuntman Mike Sessions – 2007 – The Producer Yvo sings this charming little ditty as well.
  7. Stuntman Mike Sessions – 2008 – Welcome to Sanity Machine-drum driven demo version (with me on a halfway decent attempt at vocals) of a song about the movie Hook
  8. Songs in L Flat – 2008 – My Other Me Acoustic re-recording of an old SiC-song, with Pieter on vocals (and lyric-writing duty). I don’t know how to mix or master so it sounds weird but it seems to work in my head.
  9. The Upside – 2006 – Fairytale Ending Performed only two times I think, one of which was our final gig. Not the best possible recording quality, but oh well… Nice outro though!
  10. The Upside – 2006 – Aspirin One of the last songs we recorded, and an instant classic.
  11. SiC – 2004 – Backgammon Appeared on our Split EP with Jynx (RIP); lyrics and part of the music written by Pieter
  12. SiC – 2004 – Got You Fooled Appeared both on our Split EP with Jynx (RIP) and on the Attack of the Flaming Penguin sampler (also RIP by the way).
  13. SiC – 2002 – Umbrella First track of our first album, “At the End of the Universe”
  14. SiC – 2002 – Mr Orange Song about Reservoir Dogs off our debut (featuring some samples from the movie)
  15. SiC – 2002 – Kingfisher Another track off “At the End of the Universe”
  16. SiC – 2001 – Doubt Live version of a song that also appears on our splendid debut “At the End of the Universe”
  17. SiC – 1997 – Always Really, REALLY crappy recording of a really REALLY old song.
  18. SiC – 1997 – Wet Another song from way back when.
